POSTERIZE AND SOLARISE Example B

Similar process to Example A, only adding ‘Focal B&W’ and ‘Dark Edges’ on Picmonkey ‘Effects’.

 

STEP 1 (fig 1)

Download copy of original photograph in the edit suite at PhotoScape. Mask area of photograph needed and crop to size. (Ratio 2x3. Resize to 1600 pixels x 2400 pixels.)

 

STEP 2 (fig 2)

In ‘Home’, adjust ‘Bright,Color’/’Color Enhance’ to desired exposure levels to add contrast. Then use the ‘Filter’ button for a menu of other effects. Adjust different levels until you are happy with the result.

 

STEP 3

Save and download onto Picmonkey edit suite. Go to the magic wand icon and select ‘Focal B&W’. Adjust focal area to desired size. Tick ‘Reverse Effect’ panel. The focal area becomes black and white against the colour background.STEP 4 Go to “Lomo’ for magical lighting.

 

STEP 5

Go to ‘Dark Edges’ for the finishing touch.
